That's 24,000 crystals in refreshes in a window of 24 hours. Or 14,000 for 6*. Miss your deadline due to, I dunno, CG withholding your crystals or something, and you're screwed for a month.

I'd say having an Executor that can compete makes a pretty significant difference in progression.

A week of GAC won’t give you 24k crystals…. WHO min maxes the number of crystals needed for executor like that

Was the assumption that he was going to win all 3 rounds taken into account too just so he has the bare minimum to unlock executor…?

If your planning makes you exactly 2k crystals short for executor by the time event returns again then i might believe you as an extreme edge case

If you say loads of players are doing the same then I don’t believe you and they need to learn to plan better

I'm being genuine. And there's not just a handful of players that this is affecting. Just check the pinned thread about the "make good" that this one will inevitably merge into.

I budgeted all month to save at least 14,000 crystals for a 6* Executor. Not shooting for the moon here, just enough to comfortably win. But I'll be lucky if I make my target after this. 2,000 crystals with no "make good" is actually a huge deal when the clock is ticking. There's nothing hyperbolic about what I'm saying. It's a lot to miss out on and can easily make the difference between star tiers. It's a game of resource management, after all. Withholding the payout disrupts the budget - which would be fine, if there weren't deadlines to meet.

I've had to stop spending on any kind of refresh, including in conquest, because I don't know when the "make good" is coming or what it will be. Though I'm assuming the worst, which is that it will be coming after the event disappears in 3 days.

People who worked for the seven star will end up with a six star. People who worked for the six star will end up with a five star. It's kind of aggravating to put it mildly.

If your planning makes you exactly 2k short, that makes you extremely efficient in managing your resources. Since Executor isn't the only thing happening in this game,
crystals need to be diverted elsewhere to succeed. This is what is known as budgeting.

I mean that's rudimentary economics. My one mistake was assuming CG wouldn't screw the pooch.

I think the mention of 24,000 crystals threw the discussion off a bit. I do think the OP has a valid complaint; the Executor event is very important and lasts one day. FTP players may have been carefully hoarding crystals for a certain goal, and the delay could prevent them from reaching that goal if the make-good doesn’t get here in time. That really doesn’t seem like an extreme edge case to me.

TB - 2k crystals early won’t net you enough stars to cross a new reward threshold

The loss of crystals over the timeframe we didn’t have GAC most definitely made a huge difference with the progression of f2p players like myself. I was able to save enough crystals to max Exec 4 months ago, so am still able to easily get 1 in fleet every day. The point I’m trying to make is, the loss of crystals reduced the rate at which I was farming relic materials for LV prerequisites and continue my mod farming through buying salvages in the Championship Store. Additionally, crystals would have allowed me to do more refreshes on nodes in LS, DS and Fleet battles.

Not sure why you are attempting to discredit my extremely valid post.

I'm not trying to dismisswhat you are saying - and yes this has been another fiasco - but as I understand it, there will be compensation. So that will help you get back on track in terms of farming relic materials. The delay is frustrating though.

I appreciate this, however I have seen many “make good” over the last 6+ years and none of them equal what we should have been compensated. Therefore, I won’t be holding my breath haha.

All spending in the game is to make progression go faster. People buy crystals, gear, shards, whatever because they want something sooner. I think it makes sense people are getting pretty impatient for rewards that have been delayed for a while now. The game requires patience, but the financial model of the game and business is all around getting things fast or now, and that at least some people won't be all that patient. That should be respected in regards to the make good.

Lost 1 st round were I won the round that was canceled so exciting!
