100% F2P smashing heroics (Inglorious Blasters)

Inglorious Blasters
We are a 100% f2p guild and we are smashing heroic raids. As far as I can tell we are the first and only free to play guild to beat heroic raids. No hopping, no alt accounts, no mercenaries, no Rex, Leia and no money. So it is possible for elite F2p to play this game at its highest level. We are proud of ourselves and now that we are obtaining substantial raid gear Watch Out Whales the Blasters are coming for you.
  • Just completed our second T7 raid less than 24 hours after the first. Would have been even quicker as well but we waited to make sure everyone got in at least one attack.

    We're on a roll now!

The relative level of difficulty and the rewards given out are incomparable to tier 6. The only issue is making sure you have enough 7* characters. I'd urge other guilds to give it a go if you haven't already!
  • @EleNiggle - we were doing t6 for a while and had a sudden jump from 2 refreshes to 1 refresh. a combination of us gearing and starring up more toons, and getting a better idea of both individual and guild strategy for the raid.

we had a well thought out guild strategy for the tier 7 and made sure everyone stuck with it. the most recent tier 7 that we just completed was a breeze, and was much easier and quicker than a tier 6. the rancor is tougher at tier 7, particularly in phase 4, but he has much less health. so if you have enough 7* toons and don't waste them across the guild (where the planning and strategy comes in) then it is straightforward enough.

The rewards are incomparable to tier 6. In a tier 6 raid we might get one or two complete items between 50 of us. In our last two tier 7s we must have got about 20-30 complete items between us. It is probably 10 times higher drop rate for full items. And finishing 50th in tier 7 guarantees at least 15 unobtainable parts. Credits and guild currency are higher as well. Top 5 in tier 6 is probably equivalent to bottom 40-50 in tier 7 - so for the guild it is unquestionably better to do tier 7s if at all possible.

The only practical difficulty is that now our guild knows what to do, we can finish too quickly and we have to make sure everyone can get in an attack before it finishes!

What we do is a soft launch where everyone attacks a guard pig with one sacrificial 7 star. Then at a certain time later we start for real and let everyone have at it. This ensures everyone gets something even if they miss the raid.

    That's not a bad ideal
  • Except a few of us barely have 2 full teams, so we're not quite ready for sacrifice toons yet!

We're growing quickly all the time though!
  • @Batman44gaming - we do have a waiting list of people who want to join, but there is always some turnover of players.

Are you fully FTP? if so, then it may be that you just need to build up your roster a bit (we are all level 80, with ideally at least 10 x 7 * toons - i.e. two decent tier 7 raid teams).
