How to unlock old guild event achievements?

Hey,

I started playing SWGOH fairly late, and after some time, I finally found a friendly guild that I really enjoy playing with. However, I’ve discovered that there are two Territory Battles (Hoth) that are considered outdated, and my guild has no motivation to run them. This means I’ll never have the chance to unlock the 45-star achievements for those events, which is a bit disappointing.

>Here are some suggestions off the top of my head. 

  • Guild achievements
    • Move guild event achievements to the guild, when a new member joins they unlock the achievement after X amount of time
    • Achievements grant a guild-wide bonus 
  • Allow guilds that have reached 45 stars in the past to run a 1-day event where the event can be completed in one day 

 

I enjoy the game, I wish there was a little more focus on the guild mechanics.

    I am certain there are others in your position. and there is a perfectly fine solution to this problem, without changing anything in the game.

    Find 50 able players who have not gotten the achievement, form a new guild for the duration of one TB, and do it, then return to your regular guild.

      Thanks for the suggestion I will keep an eye out for any ads to form a guild to complete them.

      I do wish there was a more elegant solution to this tho!

    I got one of the above feats exactly as suggested, as part of a pop-up guild.
    Someone cared enough to start searching out 50 players all wanting to get the feat done, a few even came out of semi-retirement to run it and voila, we all had the achievement.
    It does require you to switch out of your guild and miss regular TB loot for 1 week and it does certainly involve some work in organising it, but if done at a roster place where max stars Hoth is trivial, it can be a fun week.

    Otherwise, if it wasn't sure to bug the entire system, I do think it would be fun if every guild was offered 1 "free" lower tier TB every year, e.g. around May 4th, where one of the older TB's could be run in parallel with the usual cadence.
    I'm fairly certain this would never happen, but could be fun to see what e.g. Leia or STAP would do in their respective TB's.
