Yes. But it never did this before? Did I miss a warning somewhere because I definitely would have waited until after double drops...

Usually you have to restart the app after doing a time change when something like this happens

Yeah, I tried that. I pretty much lost 24 hours of double drops. Not much can be done about it though.
