330 shard pack odds…

I have several accounts, including an f2p one.

When the recent 330 shards for 1000 crystals came out I decided to give it a go on that account after saving up some crystals. At the time I had 44 characters in the pack at 7*, with 179 characters in the pack my chances of getting one I already had were 24.6%. Worth the gamble, I thought. 
I ended up getting Geonosian Spy, which was one of my few characters at relic level. Bad luck.

Just now, I opened the 8000 shard shop currency pack and got…

If my calculations are correct (24.6% * (1/179)) then the chances of this happening are roughly 728 to 1. Slightly worse than the chances of Luke surviving the freezing Hoth night by himself.

I’d buy another pack to try and change my luck but it’s a one off. Sigh.
