Coincidentally, we've lost 4-5 players in the past few weeks as well.
It wasn't drop rates per se, but the overall feeling of being gouged was the underlying theme.
Exactly. The main reason people quit is because they realize the game only exists to make money off compulsive and addictive behavioral patterns, not to be fun.- even if we had a 100% droprate it would take a longtime as ftp to gear all the characters
i need 91 full stun cuffs, 42 from the new mk4 holoprojector.
not unreasonable
look in my gear needed, 28 full cuffs lol
even at one ful cuff a week it would take me til 2018 to get all of them "ThunderGun;845086" wrote:

obviously that isn't the reason. 1. the game is fun. 2. it's a freemium game, you know it's all about the benjamins when you install it.- What's wearing me down is this feeling that everything that i grinded this past year means nothing with every Chase on the corner.

Well, I can only speak for myself. I believe the game is fun if you have absolutely no expectations and haven't spent a dime. Unfortunately, not everyone who started playing this game a year ago knew how freemium games work or the mind games they use to get you to spend money. Having spent a good amount of money in the game myself early on, I just find the game less and less 'fun'. Tournaments are the worst thing in the world, you have to sit on your phone for hours on end for even a chance at a 5 star character (let alone 6 or 7 star). Ships are just boring, I do one ship battle a day for the daily and that is it, I don't even want to do another. AAT raid was interesting at the beginning but is now just another grind. GW is becoming more tedious with the most powerful teams in the game at nodes 6, 9 and 11. If you happen unlock a new character, you spend weeks grinding the gear to get it to g11 (or drop money and buy the gear). Power creep has caused much of the existing characters to become near obsolete. And the cycle will only continue as that is the only way CG will get people to spend even more money, to chase the game with their wallet. Everything comes back to money, which is what I was getting at with my original statement. So yes, that realization is reason people quit."ThunderGun;845267" wrote:

Lol idk where you are. I'm pretty focused the past 3 months and I have 1 g11 toon. 2 g10 and like 6 g9. I also joined a heroic rancor guild then. It takes more than weeks. Unless you have been sitting on stuff to gear 10 toons and trying to decide who to up. It takes months to g11 a toon...luckier if sooner on good drops"ThunderGun;845267" wrote:

Or you just got bored with the game, wich is completely natural. Even if it wasn't a freemium game this would have happened eventuallly.- A lot of things in this game/game design/business policies are the most annoying ever experienced playing a game.
