A Better Single Player Experience

I think that player choice is important, and that the player should be able to choose how they play their game, so I think that the game should improve on the single player experience for those who don’t want to join a guild.

Make no mistake, I enjoyed my time in the few guilds I’ve joined, but at the point I’m at, I would just like to do things my own way, so my thought process for a single player experience goes one of two ways, either to make it like a “road less traveled” type of play style where content that is normally locked behind guilds can still be accessed but is more challenging than if the player was in a guild, or, perhaps doing things in the inverse way, and making it so that players who choose to play on their own get exclusive content that is inaccessible to players who have joined a guild.
  • CG has said that they want guilds to be a main part of the game, so for them to encourage people to stay out of guilds would be unlikely.
  • If this was a single player game I would have quit years ago. It's only my team mates that have kept me invested in this game.

That is exactly what irks me, because that thought process they have completely goes against the idea of a players freedom of choice, and besides there are a ton of characters in Star Wars who are known for working alone, so if they wanted to give people the chance to really make their own Star Wars experience, then it would only make sense to allow people to enjoy working alone if they so choose.

Unfortunately I don’t share that same sentiment, if I was given the opportunity to be able to fully enjoy the game by myself, I would very much be inclined to take it. While I liked the people in the guilds I’ve joined in the past, the guilds have always had a conflict of interest with my play style and desires. I have no wish to be competitive or fruitlessly chase, and waste money on some number one spot in a video game, I just want to play the game and enjoy it without being bothered by guild leaders trying to force me to unlock specific characters, or telling me not to bother with characters that I like because “they suck,” or “they’re not meta.”
  • You just need to find a more casual guild. There are tons of ones that do not require any specific toons.

I’ve tried that, but they always end up trying to become competitive at some point anyway, or just end up disbanding. I’ve grown tired of that same cycle and that’s why I want to be given the ability to fully experience the game by myself, so that I, or anyone else who wants to, can enjoy the game their own way, at their own pace.
  • Do you have a gg link? And can tell us what kinds of guilds you have been joining?

If I recall I have a link to that website in my signature or something, and I’ve joined two guilds that had no requirements other than to have fun and maybe use discord at best, and one that had a 1 million galactic power threshold because I couldn’t find anything else in my recommendations that was lower or didn’t require either certain galactic power thresholds or having specific journey characters to even join.
