Increase the cap for episode currency from 30k to at least 45k, preferably 60k. A cap of 30k is not sufficient.
I've already spent 33,900 episode currency this week. I still have 9,600 left. If I had bought the $40 pass, I'd have unlocked 2 more instances of episode currency, bumping my remaining currency up to 32,100, which would exceed the cap. The current cap is punishing to paying players.
It would mean you can stock up more currency for future episode, without having to pay for future episode passes.
I really don't see this happening as it would probably not align with their goals of selling more passes.
They could instead add more decent (non-omicron) items in the episode store. so you would feel more push to spend it, rather than a desire to hoard more of it.
This isn't about hoarding or anything.
A pass user is going to earn 123k over the course of 4 weeks. I've already spent more than 25% of that amount in the first of the four week duration and it's mathematically possible for me to over cap currency this week before the store resets, despite spending more than I would technically need to spend. The rate at which a paid pass can earn episode currency versus spending it is flawed, so they should increase the cap.
Players shouldn't be forced to spend on undesirable items or lose currency because they paid for the episode pass.
It’s not punishing, just means you have to spend rather than hoard. I got the pass and have not been close to maxing as I purchased the omicrons and splice mats I normally get from GC’s. Also, you have to collect the rewards from the pass, leave it unclaimed if you happen to exceed 30k until the store refreshes.
not sure how you got that much currency without buying the pass. i got 5,500 or so and i did all the available quests without a pass or purchasing marquee character shards for the character quests.
