Ability block the strongest skill?

I prefer Stun, personally.

You may be on to something there. I use Vader a lot because he is decently reliable for that AB (with his basic Omega'd and with 60+% potency behind an EP lead, he is rarely failing to land one of these.)

Yeah agreed that stun is very useful as well...

Maybe I'm just looking at this from the perspective of my current team where Vader can ability block through most problematic buffs and tie pilot's initial ability block can give a tremendous advantage in the first turn of action...

Nothing else shuts down most characters as well as ability block. It prevents all the tenacity, buff block, dispels, etc that make a lot of the newer characters so strong.

That's what gives Vader usefulness outside of his specials. Jedi can't resist or avoid his basic, and it lands reliably on others. I have used it to stop STH from taunting, Anakin from using his AOE, and to subdue Lando many times.

I'd agree if AB actually blocked counter attackers.

I'd have agreed with you, before basics like this came out.

General Kenobi: Deal Physical damage to target enemy with a 75% chance to grant Foresight to a random ally that doesn't have it for 2 turns. If all allies are buffed, deal double damage.

Bistan: Deal Physical damage to target enemy with a 70% to inflict Damage Over Time for 3 turns.

Baze Malbus: Deal Physical damage to target enemy with a 70% chance to inflict Speed Down for 3 turns. If Chirrut Imwe is present, he gains 10% Turn Meter.

Chirrut Imwe: Deal Physical damage to target enemy with a 70% chance to gain Heal Over Time for 3 turns. If the target is debuffed, grant Heal Over Time to a random ally for 3 turns.

Admittedly Bistan's isn't that bad, but those others. They're like specials with no cool down.

wiggs/lando/ani are the established meta atm, the OP is thinking ahead. With mass abi block on that team they're pretty much worthless.

AOE is on the cusp of being obsolete... those wiggs/ landakin teams are incredibly easy to beat with a solid empire squad
