About GL Rey
So after having Rey and her Ultimate for some time now and comparing her to her competitor, I found out the following for me:
Pros:
- She handles her self quite good in arena if its not a mirror match
- She is invaluable on GA Defense (at least in 3v3)
Cons:
- The prerequisite toons are mostly ridiculous, especially when compared with Kylos. Reliced FO Chars make a very solid defense, Reliced Resistance toons are mostly worthless even in reliced state.
- The Ultimate does not help the slightest bit in mirror matches, it doesnt even help against a good modded DR team.
- Mirror matches are the worst possible nightmare. I would really like to see the percentage of timeouts. Dont even try to mirror Rey when she has Hyoda in team and is decent fast. She will just spam bonus prot which you cant battle through in 5 minutes. Ironically the ultimate doesnt help, but instead makes everything far worse in terms of time consume. The animation, the speed penalty all add up to a possible timeout at the end of the battle. I just dont use it anymore if more than 2 toons are still standing.
- Rey has absolutely NO PvE viability aside from LSTB where she is not even a 4/4 guaranteer depending on what you have on the opposite side. She is completely useless in HSR where Kylo shines to the max.
Overall Kylo would have been the FAR better choice even before his buff. Overall Rey is a very big disappointment especially after 6 months of hardcore farming with little to zero useful roster development aside from farming and gearing mostly useless characters.
The whales in my shard who have both GL have all switched to Kylo, leaving Rey to rot in their rosters. Same can be heard of other whales in other shards.
I wouldnt be surprised if many Rey users are thinking of leaving the game for good, if nothing changes. In her current state she is ridiculously underpowered compared to Kylo and thats a very big fuck you to all the players who have been passionately chasing her in the past 6 months.
