It basically comes down to being a veteran reward, more time spent playing the game equals more achievements completed and more chances that he's appeared in the shard shop for you.

Understood but I'd like his leadership to be adjusted a bit to make him & the Sith more viable. JKA has been adjusted so why not Vader? Same guy right? Shouldn't he be a game changer? If he's so hard to get it should have a big value to have him....
