These 17.5k req. was a result of all this hacking on Android devices which made it possible to win every fight regardless of your team (you can send a squad full of L1s and win).
And i'm beginning to think that this new TB limit has still the same background. Just imagine a fresh guild of younglings with a hacked swgoh.apk they do NOT use it in pvp to stay hidden but can win every pve battle they do :wink:
In this case they would get almost full stars.
And because CG is not able to stop those hacks (not because they don't want to but 'cause it's technically impossible without changing the whole system swgoh works) so they introduce one limit after the other. Obviously they would never tell us the truth because that could make the whales nervous. So smaller guilds may pay the price for all these cheating now, who knows ;-)
