Derail? there isn't anything being discussed to derail it and the OP wasn't particularly thought provoking anyway. This discussion is what is making this thread interesting.
This. I was just trying to point out the difference in artwork and was speculating a new rework or version of the game character. It had absolutely nothing to do with the actors of either versions, just about the game. Please don’t make this into another who’s right and who’s wrong forum post.
We're just having a fun nerdy debate, nothing wrong with it
I know it wasn’t anything bad, but it could get out of hand with all the hate for Hayden and if the wrong person got in here.- https://youtu.be/bHyhLXuoqW4

Still looks better than Hayden Christianson!
I don't get the hate for Hayden, imo he did an amazing job at portraying Anakin. You can judge Anakin as a character but that's on George Lucas NOT Hayden. He had a script and he did his best to play the character.
Honestly Anakin had some cringy moments and dialogues with Padmee but that's even more realistic to me. He's a father less child who grew up as a slave on a desert planet with no male model. He was picked up by the Jedi order and raised like a Shaolin monk up until he was a teenager. I would not expect him to be an expert in social interactions especially with the opposite gender. Having a Playboy Anakin who has crazy game and knows the right things to say to a girl would be incredibly unrealistic.
Now must say that in some occasions in the clone wars cartoon Anakin appears as a player. He seems to have alot of charisma and he has a way with women. I loved the way he handled the Zygerrian Queen. Then again clone wars was made after the prequels. Also that episode takes place closer to revenge of the sith where Anakin has been married for a long time time so he knows more about females at that point than he did in episode 2.
Anyways that's my opinion.
Well said!"Reyalp;c-1685861" wrote:

Okay, now this was hilarious."Ephran;c-1685708" wrote:
He was a poor actor in Ep2 but he did a great job in Ep3, especially once he fell to the Dark Side.
I have always felt very similar, but after recently rewatching Ep 2, I think it probably had more to do with the atrocious dialogue he had to work with. Combine that with a young actor and there was no way he could convincingly sell some of those lines. Heck, Daniel Day Lewis couldn’t have sold some of that dialogue.
While Ep 3 was much better, HC did not have the gravitas to pull off the Anakin we expected to see as a Jedi Knight based on what we had built up in our minds based on what we were told in the OT. They needed someone a little older, imho, to pull off being more wise, less impulsive. Anakin always came across as very skilled and gifted with the Force, but immature, insecure, impulsive, and selfish—traits inconsistent with a “great Jedi.”
Simply put, Anakin always seemed too “gray” in the films, which made his fall/turn to the dark side less impactful. The greater the fall, the greater the tragedy.
But again, these things are production issues, not HC’s fault. He did great given what he had to work with in the role in which he was cast."MJS;c-1685851" wrote:

Two quick thoughts.
First I don't normally care aboit the artwork but bastilla's artwork was a much needed change. Anakin's artwork looks ok either way.
Second, I don't get how everyone thinks it's unrealistic for a smart woman to fall for a man that's bad for her. There are plenty of smart women that end up with men that are bad for them. Book smarts, which I assume you need to be a senator and Padme seems to have, doesn't equal being smart in love. In fact of the women I've known that pick losers or abusive men, they typically have been book smart.
And anakin falls under the abusive nan category. Especially in ep 3 when he force chokes her. But the warning signs were there in ep 2. Like admitting to killing a bunch of women and children. But I've seen women overlook violent tendencies in men in real life, thinking couldn't happen to them because he loves her only to have him be an abuser. So when you look at their relationship as a dysfunctional one, it is much more realistic.
I agree with you, women love the "bad boy" attitude, Padmee is still fairly young and Anakin is the chosen one after all.
Well yeah. Women have to “change” him/guys and help guys see the error of their ways. Women are always trying to change men for the better because men are dumber than rocks. Point and case: Anakin & Padme.- I hate sand.
