TL;DR refer to title. I'm patient for shards, i'm patient for grinding insane amounts of gear at low drop rates but I cannot be patient any further than that and especially for something as mundan...

The key is focusing on one hero at a time. It does get little harder as you level up, but it is very possible, maybe just not as fast as we wish it would be. :)
