Apostrophes not allowed in names?

EDIT: THANK YOU RESPONDERS I WILL TEST IT OUT
EDIT 2: It works but the name is unavailable. Guessing someone else is already using it -_-
So I noticed apostrophes are not allowed in names. I’m just wondering why? I wanted to change my name to Demon’s Head but we’re not allowed to use apostrophes anymore. I say “anymore” because I used to be in a guild called Quantum’s Chaos which means apostrophes were once allowed. My question is why not anymore and will they be allowed again?

    That's weird. My name has an apostrophe. And I've only been a player since November 2017.

    I had the same problem. I couldn't use an apostrophe in my guild name and used an o with an accent to make it kinda look like there was one.

    I just figured it had to do with version of iPhone I was playing on.

    Wrong apostrophe
    ' <- this one is allowed
    the ones on iPhone aren't, they're regarded as special characters

    It is actually kind of interesting that the encoding IOS uses for it's characters can have an effect like that. On my screen, you used an apostrophe in the word "we're" but it's actually a single right quote. If your on an IOS device, try turning off smart quotes.
