Make TW great again

While I agree that something does need to be done about TW, the sandbagging accusations are normally a load of bull. For higher GP guilds that aren't TW focused, the rewards aren't worth the 24 hour effort required. I'm in a 650mil guild, TW sign up is optional, but you need to participate if you do. But we normally have a chance every third TW, because we're outmatched in the other two. When we are outmatched, we just set defence to get our rewards and then have the day off, like today.

The sandbagging is definitely a real thing.   I'm in a 500 mil GP guild.  If we win a 2 or 3 in a row, we'll often get paired with a bigger guild that limits sign-ups.  Always with these guys there's a front wall of Tanos, trying to exploit the no buttons bug. 

I presume that these guilds have set requisites before you're allowed to sign up, or do it on a rota.  I definitely wouldn't want to play like this.

If you're being outmatched, you're unlikely to go against a sandbagging guild.  It's when you've won 3 in a row, that you're likely to get one.

I kind of agree that I'm not sure the rewards are worth all that specialisation.   The droid brains are good though.

We've been matched against Clones Unleashed, a hardcore TW guild (felt like it anyway) with 80mil higher GP, we've also been matched against guilds with 100mil lower GP. We have the same rules for sign up, join if you want, but we don't make people sit out TW.

We didn't sandbag when facing the smaller guilds and we don't think that bigger guilds sandbag against us. Terrible TW matchmaking that probably hasn't been updated for years is far more likely than everyone being out to get you.

I'm quite certain there are guilds that do what I and the OP are suggesting.  Guilds that only lose once or twice a year and always only have 30-35ish sign ups.

They're deliberately targeting smaller guilds, in the knowledge they have enough fire power with those they allow to sign up, to hold firm and get through the whole defence.

I don't think they're 'out to get me'.   I'm not angry about it or believe it's personal.  They're just not playing how the gaming environment was intended.  My whole life ethos is 'playing by the spirit of the game/rules', and they're clearly not.  I don't think the very 'big' guilds do it, the rewards just aren't worth the hassle for the whales in this game.

I completely agree! I am in a high end state of the game and really don’t deal with this problem, but my old alt guild faces it all the time and getting matched up with a guild 200 million GP more than them on a consistent basis (like more times than not) is not only very demoralizing but also just very unfair and frustrating.  TW needs some type of rework or update so things like this hopefully don’t happen, but more importantly aren’t rewarded for it.  In my books taking advantage of the system like that is almost as bad as cheating to me, it’s not fun for any guild it happens to. 

I get it if we are on a multiple win streak but we win 1 in every 3 at the point and the two are losses are all sandbagging. 

We only win 1 then get slammed with 3 sandbagging guilds in a row. We just can’t seem to catch a break. If you can’t win in your own league why go down and bully other people. It’s no fun!

Getting rolled by higher GP guilds is just a symptom of the broken game mode.   Don't fix this symptom, fix TW or trash it and restart. 

When you have guild members that are spread across the globe it is **bleep** near impossible to coordinate attacks to clear zones.  Often we need a few of those members for their counters, yet they are sleeping for another 6 hours. The entire guild needs to wait, then when you do clear the zone, the next set of members are away.  The coordination is impossible.  The entire TW game mode doesn't function well. 

Our 500m guild does TW for rewards (win or lose). Winning happens about 1/3rd of the time.  It is just how it is. We are over any sort of emotion for winning or losing, and competitiveness is not there.  It is just this broken side game mode to get a few rewards.
