Arena Payout Sniping

On the other hand, what if you're driving home from work 5 mins til payout and you see a team in the top spot you can beat from 5th, so you do a quick refresh and pray to RNGesus that fate rests in your lovely hands today. Then it does, and you win, earn your first top rank ever and get that delicious 500 crystals.

The shoe is always on the other foot somewhere, so just make sure you're wearing the right foot...or the other shoe...or something.

The arena system is a joke. Sadly I doubt they'll change it even if it would be a conceptually easy fix - I would think a daily/monthly "tag" system would solve sniping (as mentioned recently by @medetec) and probably encourage more crystal spending but I guess they don't see it that way. Thankfully I'm getting close to maxing the available characters so in a month or three I can just ignore it save for when they add new farms.

E.g., say u can win in 2 minutes 10 seconds. But it takes him 2 minutes 45 seconds to beat you. If ur ahead, just wait until 7 minutes and 30 seconds to block out. If he is already attacking u, no problem. His fight will be over with more than 2 minutes 20 seconds 9n the clock. And if it is just the two of u, u will get the battle if u buckle down for the next 5 minutes and refresh ur matches like a hawk.

If u are behind, at least take the courtesy to climb to 2 or 3 spot before u attack him, if u want him to do the same for u. Give it time, bc people are ****. He might not get it for a cpuple of weeks. Again, just wait until 7 minutes and 30 seconds and attack him. If it is locked, dont worry. It can't stay locked for more than 5 minutes. Keep on trying to enter the battle until it works, and when it does u will have at least about 2 minutes and 30 seconds. After he wins 4th or 5th place a couple of times bc he tried to unsuccessfully snipe u from the nosebleed seats, he will start to get it.

If he can beat u faster than u can beat him, he can block u all day. Try for second place! This is where wings teams have an advantage.

If u got a 3 or 4 way battle in ur payout, it is gonna be a **** shoot.

This, basic math is not that hard. if you can't take nr 1 spot because you snipe too late (5 mins before payout), you are doing it wrong.

People that take first everyday don't need to buy crystals for refreshes. Just sayin.

Consider making a thread with the names of players on your shard so you can talk or coordinate better. Learn the flow of things during your payout so you can time it better for a better placement. Because they they want people to have to attack to move up. WAI. It's not changing anytime soon.

I am on your shard Revenant. I have tried to figure out your payout time before but that's impossible because anytime anyone attacks you then you attack right back. Perhaps that is the main reason that you think you are sitting in first uncontested. Why would anyone bother to waste any attempts to take your position knowing that you will just attack right back? Most likely people are just waiting until their payout time to bump you.

Don't get me wrong, your squad is solid but it's certainly not sitting there because nobody can beat it. I believe Douding is on some sort of Asian time zone, so he just hangs around until he needs to take 1st. There are a few others that just pop into the top 5 to get their crystals. That's generally what I do unless I'm testing out a new team comp or it is arena day.

Anyway... I agree with you that the arena system in this game is tiresome. It requires more luck than skill to get #1 when several people are going after it. However... It doesn't seem like it is high on their list of priorities to change.

10 min? LOL! I can generally snipe away on FULL auto (zero input from me) in less than 45 seconds. I've been #1 for 6 days in a row now, all because I play the "game". Sniping is a part of it.

Some guys don't even care about coming out ahead or breaking even in Crystals from Arena reward. They JUST want to be 1st.
