Sniping sucks but it is unfortunately the way they made the game. The good they payout #1 ~24 times a day on every leaderboard. The bad defense doesn't work so you have to play the sniping game.

This has been the name of the game since day 1. Not changing now.

A few suggestions... Learn when others have payout by watching when they are most active. Realize some move or fight back outside their payout. Consider making a thread with the names of players on your shard so you can talk or coordinate better. Learn the flow of things during your payout so you can time it better for a better placement. Yah it sucks. Especially when you pay 50 crystals to snipe someone but get the message "Error: Your team is already engaged in an arena battle." because someone is sniping you.I think a live arena ladder would do the game a lot of good. But lowering the rewards a bit but making it the highest rank reached over 24 hrs might be a good stopgap. It's not fair that some are on much more competitive laddes/payout times than others.

Two quick ideas:

1) It should ping me when someone wants to fight me in arena. Give me 60 seconds to respond. If I don't accept the challenge in the 60 seconds then it can't use the AI to fight for me.

2) Make it so the person you just fought can't fight you back without spending 50 crystals for the revenge match.

3) or, coming from the opposite angle of idea #2, if someone defeats you, you could get a message saying "_____ just beat you in arena, would you like a rematch?" This would bypass the timer, but still use an arena turn.

I don't know, Just spitballing here.

I would like there to be a spectator mode or something so you can see what's going on and an indicator showing when you're in combat.

I would love to see that and I think i made a thread on it in feedback. If you've played Super Smash for the Wii U, they have a betting system for spectators, super fun.

Spectator mode? So people can blow whistles? So they can tune in to see my team pocketing #1 at the 8-10 minute mark, stalling the final blow till ~10 seconds of the round timer, then challenging #2, #3, or #4 immediately with 50 crystals and then letting the match timer burn out to a draw and land #1?

No one wants to watch that. Lol

Fix the system instead. Until then, what's the saying? Don't hate the player...

I think many of you are missing the point. I can lock people out too, I hold a top 5 spot right now and rarely dip below #2. I have no trouble keeping #1 for my payout with the occasional snipe getting in the way. People are struggling to beat my team (I can tell because I'm unable to attack because I'm engaged and don't lose my spot).

I think the system for Arena ranking is poorly conceived and could be done better and I want to encourage new ideas. It is not competitive or fair. I'm not complaining because I can't get or keep #1, I'm complaining because I don't like it. Even the guy with 91 7* characters who I fight constantly for #1 can't keep it.

No OP. Fix your team or the way you play.

Yes to spectators and betting. My goodness at EST payout I wish you could do a Win/Place/Show for finishing top 3. I'd bet crystals on placement.

My goodness would that be fun.
