Arena Rank vs retired players
Nobody seems to have an answer, but if a player reaches rank 45 in arena, then decides to quit, delete the app and retire from the game for whatever reason, does that player still hold rank in arena until someone can displace them? If the player can still hold rank, that puts the rest of the shard at a disadvantage, because they're hogging up a place in the arena. I am no fan of PVP, and think that the reward structure is too heavily aimed towards PVP and should have a balance in other area of the games for people who can't stand the constant grind.
