Arena Store : who to farm next?

I assume you mean collecting shards for a toon I already have at 7* so as to convert them into Shard Shop credits.
If that's the case and my maths are right...
- I can get 10 "duplicate" shards a day
- the value of 1 shard is 15 Shard Shop credits
- I can then convert 10 shards into 150 credits
- to get 10 toon's shards I need 2000 credits
- so to get these shards would take 13.3 days (2000 / 150)
My Shoretrooper needs 30 shards to get to 4* : 40 days of duplicate shards farming in Arena Shop.
I already use him at 3* in my Arena squad. Would getting him to 4* make that much of a difference?
My Chirrut is still locked and at 20/50 so it would also take me 40 days to unlock him at 3* and 80 more days to get him to 4* (if he stays that long in the Shard Shop).
Unless I'm missing something this doesn't seem to be very efficient unfortunately. :/
