Assault Battles are fundamentally meant to provide an interesting challenge, reward deep roster development, and give players something to use non-meta teams for. I choose the allowable factions based on what I think would be fun, and design a power specifically for them to help with this.
It is also worth noting that our game is decidedly NOT cannon. Galaxy of Heroes is a game within a game.
