Yeah, but if you're that new of a player you're probably not ready anyway. I know YOU are, but the question becomes at what point "should" someone be able to get a character? R2 is not that hard. Level 5 Empire to 7* Star / Level, Gear, and mod them. Sacrifice everything else, such as FO and Resistance so no Rey or BB-8 and no Thrawn or anything else. Yeah you have a great Empire team and R2. Good job, you missed out on CLS because you forgot Old Ben STH and Leia and focused getting R2 instead.

Go ahead and focus those toons now. Missing out on Jedi, Jawa, Scoundrels, and everything else to Mod your toons to compete. Oh and you fell behind in Arena and Fleet cause you are neglecting your pilots and learning R2 Vader combo don’t work so well.

This is why you develop a strategy on what to unlock and deploy so you and remain competitive. Shiny new is not always for the new guy. I am still new, but I have a robust, developed roster unlocking mod challenges and developing my pilots and PVP team.

Wish this was true however we have already had the luke event twice and hes been available less than 6 months.

Yep, if newer players get a shot at R2 before CLS we get the EXACT same chance as the older players got when they released R2 just before CLS in august. But if you have your shiny R2 at 7 stars already, I.e they got him in October, it's easy for some ppl to be di**s about it and say "if you don't have him now you don't deserve CLS" or something **** like that. Don't listen to them as it is just said word, ****.

If you think these guys are being mean, you should go back and read when CLS first came around. We were all subject to bragging and trolling from the guys who got him the first time.

Nope, yoda, thrawn, Palpatine, chimaera, BB8 have all happened since the last R2 event. Literally all the legendaries.

Alright, now that we know exactly what all this stuff means--you folks who didn't have R2, how are you doing? Get it yet? Going to be ready in 4 days for Luke? Good luck to you!

I got him within 5 minutes of the app refresh. I didn't want to take any chances for one more second. I should have enough gear and all hoarded for Gear 11 with max abilities except two zetas.

I think I'm ready for the actual event. Luke at G8 (and Han at G8 for that matter) are my weak spots. I have the credits to bump Luke from lvl 75 all the way up if I need to.
