B-Wing overperforming?

I took in an Exec triple attacker lineup (TPO, Razorcrest and IG-2000) against a Rebel fleet. I assumed they had the B-Wing since they were so high up the ranks.

They promptly took about 11 turns before I had taken my first. Stood no chance. I think it might be just a little bit overpowered to not only immediately call in a reinforcement, but then immediately use your ult which grants your entire team two turns each.

Inevitably, there's going to be people saying "skill issue", but I really don't think a single and easily accessible marquee should elevate a fleet to perform better than something that requires far greater investment like the Executor.

  • I think this would have been more of an issue if it wasn’t counterable. With the Exec I wpuld argue that the best option is to attack with Hounds Tooth in the starting lineup. HT will gain a whole lot of turn meter with all the attacks and once it taunts the rebels will be stuck attacking it.

I find that the current meta is the most fun it’s been in a while. The B-wing has been one of the best additions to the game this year in my opinion.

I was thinking to myself that HT would make it better, but my point stands. 11 turns is nuts when it's not even a TM train. And CG have gone around preaching about "protecting player investment" with Relic Delta, then release a ship that counters Exec.

  • Hounds Tooth does nothing.  Put in HT, Mando, Bane and I’m coming at you with Resistance X-Wing, the Moldy Crow, Cassian with B-Wing, Ebon Hawk, and if I need, Lando’s Falcon for clean up.

Put in any other combo you want of BH and Moldy Crow, Biggs, Cassian, B-Wing pretty much tears it apart.

I agree that the Executor cost is ridiculous high for being ripped open by both Levi and Profundity and now Home One.  Exec is a GL ship and still on a limited rotation for no good reason.  But the Profundity / Executor counter is Y-Wing, Falcon, Outrider with no need for reserve but most I’ve seen throw Ghost and Phantom with Cassian and Rogue One.  That would seem more maddening.

I am enjoying shaking up my shard with being the only Home One with B-Wing and duking it out daily with the sole Executor.  The Negotiator can beat Home One / B-Wing which keeps the payout rotation from being stagnant.

  • I just think that CG lacks someone that truly understands the ships interactions anymore or they don’t want balance. Every new ship added has broken fleet play for the last few years starting at least with the Levithan. The Exec cannot hold in GAC or TW defenses anymore and fails on selected offenses so it is a tier 2 fleet now.
