EDIT: So, it seems like I might have overestimated CG's holiday spirit. The 15 shards was apparently only for the 1st day, and it looks like from now on we're only getting 4 shards a day to match...

I'm very grateful, really, honestly and truly. I'm just confused, is all--why? I don't see any announcement or in-game message. I just took my freebies and moved along. So, thanks. But, uh... What? Why?
