Bug or crazy Vader Zeta ability?

I'm facing a team in GW that's got a weird bug/ability I've never seen before....

Fighting against: Vader lead, w/Shoretrooper, RG, Boba, EP

I'm using an Akbar led rebel team. They hit me with a bunch of damage over time stacks. I use Akbar's dispel and they go away while another rebel attacks (EP in this case). As soon as that rebel is finished attacking, all the DoT's come back.

NOW... Yes I know Vader's Zeta lead allows for DoT to return when they EXPIRE... but I'm using dispel which should be different no? And not for nothing... but why am I facing this team in GW? They're clearly a 50K plus team and I'm ranked around 100 in my Arena shard with only 42k power. That's a stupid matchup.

Anyone seen this before? It's really screwing my ability to finish this last battle.

Expire by any means;

cleanse, boba execute, culling blade, time, whatever....they return!

Ugh. Thank you all. That's awful. Now... WHY AM I CONSISTENTLY FACING THESE CRAZY STRONG TEAMS! Arg.

If true, they should change the language, because EXPIRE has a very specific meaning (time runs out) that is not the same as cleansed, debuffed, etc...

Even Rex cleanse + Tenacity Up is not enough to remove Vader DoTs I'm afraid. Once they're on you, they're on. Also given that Leader abilities persist even when the leader dies, those DoTs may be permanent until the end of the encounter.

No. The zeta is specific about that part: "While Darth Vader is alive...."

I wonder what would happen if Vader died and returned from Daka's unique.

Expire also means "die." Any time they are removed from existence during Vader's life, they come back.

Hmm which one on our shard has Vader Zeta now? Cassiel?
Anyway what the others said. Thought you were using Empire team Muaddib.
