Bye bye god mods

Had a +20 speed this weekend.

That's just due to Mods 2.0 changes.

Before that you had a much higher chance of rolling a good speed secondary. Now, all 4 secondary stats have an equal chance of upgrading when levelling mods.

Before the change, the secondary stats that showed up in beginning were guaranteed to level. So for instance, a blue mod would show two secondaries at level 1. These two were guaranteed to level when going to Mod level 12. Now all 4 stats have an equal chance, no matter what initial secondaries you see on the mod in the beginning on level 1.

I'd love to know how you got any god mods from blue mods under 1.0.

Also you're wrong about the guarantee. One of the two secondaries shown was guaranteed to roll at each increase. Speed could roll twice, once, or zero times. But back to my first point, never four times.

Right. What I meant was the initial stats that the mod showed would level. Which ones is RNG. So a blue mods showed 2 initial stats, so these two would level up (either one of them twice, or each of them once.). So a blue mod with initial speed gave you a good chance for an upgrade in speed.

Also, I had hundreds of blue mods from 1.0 with speed. Most of my good mods now are blues/purples from before Mods 2.0 which I then simply sliced later.

Been trying for about 3 weeks to get CD mods for my Veers who is sporting 4 dot triangle and cross. The triangle has 12 speed and the cross has 6 speed. Nothing good has dropped. No, not refreshing mod energy, but only farming CD mods in that time. It seems that if speed procs, so does defense. With both showing it seems that defense will get the upgrade over speed.

That's not 1.0. That's mods from 1.0 that you sliced under 2.0. Massive difference. Yes those were the best mods, but there was a short window where we knew it was worth waiting for 2.0 on those mods.

If you think mods over 14 speed come around more than once every few months then you’ve been living a luxurious life here in SWGOH - blessed be RNGesus o:)

I’m guessing a lot of others are like me and rarely sell mods of any color with speed secondaries. At this point, I’ve sliced most of my mods from 1.0 that had speed secondaries. Unfortunately though, I didn’t farm mods much in mods 1.0.

I say this because I don’t think it matters that we had a short window where we knew we could upgrade mods later. Maybe I’m wrong and someone that farmed mods heavily in 1.0 could let us know if they sold many of those prior to slicing.

Just bad RNG. Or not enough effort put into farming.

It took me something like 2 years of pushing hard to get my first +20. There are so many layers of RNG in mod farming that long dry spells are to be expected.
