Overall DSA is much better with communicating with their players. Let’s see if Meathead manages to sneak some of that mentality into CG during his guest appearance or if CG manages to break yet another community manager.

I think the general sentiment is
1: Congrats Crumb
2: You absolutely didn't need to tell us anything about your private life, take time off for any reason you want to
But...
3: Finding out from another games forum is just annoying

Yes, people here are hard to deal with but to be fair they wouldn't be that snarky if we had better communication in the past. Communication is key, even bad news are fine to most people when you just keep talking to them. Keep them involved, make them feel like family even in hard times and they will still love you if you throw not-so-nice-things at them.

But not because it was officially announced here. I don't understand why CG always waits for the last possible moment to release information. For instance with conquest datamines, the information are out there days in advance. Or with game Updates, the forum posts appear only after the update rolls out.
Why can't they tell us as soon as the information get available? If they would create negative feedback, they will ignore it anyways.

Bye Doja - thanks for all you did for the community... I'm sad you were never allowed by the EA overlords to engage much more with the community - you seemed to have alot of energy and cool ideas when you started, hope the overlords didn't destroy that spark to much :)
