Why does it seem to a lot of people that having revan out means that there must be a dark revan or a Malak or whatever the case. I haven’t been playing long enough to have seen cls come out for example. But is there an instance when a character comes out , that was very sought after by the community- which requires 5 specific characters, after which that acquired character was used to get another character ? It seems to me a bit silly if that would be the case. To me it seems that the developers probably thought they’d make people happy and make some money by giving revan, a character who really has no place in current Star Wars. Instead it seems like people just expect him to be part of some grand scheme and I don’t see any prior history of this type of release.

You don't need history but foresight1. February is the month of Sith (CG stated themselves and tried to make February a huge deal). Darth Nihilus was released on February (KOTOR II), Darth Sion was released in February (KOTOR II). Sith Raid, and therefore Traya (KOTOR II raid + toon) was released in February. The major sith lords from the KOTOR era that are noteworthy that aren't in game is Darth Malak and Darth Revan2. They bombarded us with 4 KOTOR toons in one month and the panic farm coincides with the same timeframe as Jedi Knight Revan's time line3. The Jedi Revan trailer teased two qualities of Revan that were not included in the kit (Conqueror, Villain)4. Clone Wars month was overshadowed with Marquee full of KOTOR toons that should line up to Feb release5. They can always make a new set of rules (requiring one journey character to get another). They aren't limited to their past decisions. The same people said there wouldn't be a Revan via Journey because Journey toons require a base character and Revan would be legendary (and they were massively wrong)6. If not Revan, The next Rey (Episode 9) might require Jedi Training Rey. which requires 5 toons. Requirements can change on a whim at CG's mercy, Precedence or history doesn't mean much7. Its super obvious Revan is coming and you can even look at the marquee release schedule:https://swgohevents.com/marqueeT3, Mission, Zaalbar were the last batch of KOTOR toons and were immediately farmable as soon as the earliest marquee schedule allowed itWhile the Sith Bomber and Anakin's ship is not farmable yet and should be the same time when Carth and Juhani will be going to shipments (aka Sith Bomber doesn't have a panic farm) but they didn't wait a single day to put Darkside Bastilla or Canderous to shipmentsWhen it comes to the release schedule and KOTOR toons they are very punctual because they want to release a huge toon that requires them as soon as possible without giving players too much time to farm them---------------------EDIT: There is no prior history of this but that doesn't mean they cannot make new history for this kind of releaseFor example Jedi Luke's speculation is that he will be the biggest toon in the game and would require the largest set of characters such as R2, Chewbacca, C3PO which are all legendary characters (its speculation but its possible CG does this)

When CLS was released in the manner he was, I thought the entire idea was that CLS would then be needed for the next iteration (Jedi Luke, or possibly another not-Jedi Luke in between if they wanted to stretch it out more). I'm surprised that it hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't change the fact that I continue to assume the next version will eventually come and will require CLS as a continuation of the journey. One event isn't much of a journey, and CLS isn't the final version of Luke, so why wouldn't we consider this the most likely way of doing it?

Look, before jedi Revan came out...he was speculated for several months. Dats mines, hints, farms , etc.

Terrible example. Literally everything even tangentially related since Darth Nihilus (and some of the stuff completely unrelated) has been "Darth Revan confirmed" and chased. That example is not prediction. It's a broken clock being right twice a day.

Except it was wrong, because it wasn't Darth Revan like everyone was screaming it was until the reveal trailer. And the Jedi Revan reveal trailer was another "Darth Revan confirmed," moment.

Revan isn't a Heroes Journey, but an Ancient Journey (two totally different event types). Based on the first set of KOTOR before JKR we are on the same track for Darth Revan to be in February.

I won’t disagree about feb being sith month , fail to see where that relates to having the already released revan indicating anything. Point 2,3,4 make little argument as well. Clone wars was overshadowed ? Did you read this forum that month ? It was constantly speculated and talked about.
It’s easy to see connections on something if you really wanted it.

I think you guys are both 100% right. There is most likely no Darth Revan coming. Don’t do anything to prepare for a possible event until it is officially announced as it would be a complete waste.
