TW needs a massive overall. At the top GP level if you are not a TW focused guild, you set your defense, do a few attacks and collect rewards, it all depends on the match up. It is pointless for one guild or the other to give any effort. Something similar to leagues (Kyber 1-5, chromium, etc) as in GAC would help. You also have guilds that cheat the system and sit 10-12 each time and get an easy match up and easily win. If they removed TW from the game, I would not even notice.
With TW Omicrons being needed to compete the rewards should be worth the level of engagement that it demands. It is very hard to ask for TW omicrons from people when GAC is very lucrative. I love the guild cooperation that comes from TW, but I would like to see much better pay offs.
