This seems to be blatantly incorrect, since CG acknowledged that both Hard and Normal Conquest were too difficult, and tuned down the difficulty. If it was just a matter of players needing to be better, I don't think you would have seen the outpouring of discontent on the forums. It was unanimous, which is not often the case.
So, they explained they made it too hard, They explained that they were going to send out an update and tone it down.... They sent out an update and toned it down and sent out a "make good"....
And you are waiting on what exactly?
they never said they made it too hard, there was nothing at all posted as to whether it was a bug or intentional. you have some post from CG that I missed? if so, please share a link. That is exactly what I am waiting on. if it was intentional, I want to know why there was no advance notice given, and if they will do this again in the future without any notice. if that is the case, I no longer would see a good reason to buy conquest pass
The fact that they said they were investigating, coupled with the fact that they nerfed it and issued a make good is them acknowledging that they made it too hard....
If you are waiting on them to straight up tell you their intention is to power creep the game as people's rosters get stronger, then you will be waiting a long time, you should just assume that is going to happen, because that is how these games work.
is it how "these games work"? have they ever increased the difficulty of an existing event without any notice to players whatsoever? I can't recall that happening in this gane, can you? I don't understand how people are opposed to players wanting more communication from CG, as if it's a bad thing?
Every single non legacy game mode has increased in difficulty over time.... The gc's are harder, the raids are harder, the TB are harder.... Etc etc ...
I disagree with this.
Note: talking strictly PvE content here.
They have added new harder content, they have not changed older content to be harder, and they shouldn't do this.
New harder tiers or new harder modes are good.
Moving the goal posts on established content is wrong. If PvE content is always getting harder because new units are added than new players may never catch up.
Note: new feats are not the same as making the battles harder.
Your roster may be growing but that is mostly just more teams, the units themselves haven't gotten stronger. Still max of L85, R9 and 6 dot mods.
It is not like you can use multiple teams in one battle to clear it, so the fact that rosters are expanding has no relevance on needed to power creep existing PvE content.
Raids and TB are perfect examples where as max roster has expanded new harder content was released. They didn't just keep going back and power creep hoth.
Same should be done with conquest. If they want to power creep it, make new tiers with some exclusive rewards don't power creep the old.
The feats are forcing the use of the roster expansion with feats requiring use of the new units.
Like I said, legacy content.... Every new conquest iteration is no longer legacy content, it's a brand new thing in and of itself...
To your point, it seems like they made too big of a leap this time...
But, counter to your point, If you have the teams they are asking for, its a non issue... This is a completely different game mode from raids and TB, it changes every 3 months...
But it isn't new.
New feats, sometimes new bosses some times.
Hell this one the majority of the global feats are copy and paste from the old one.
Teams mostly stay the same to clear thru sectors, sure they add a few new ones.
The treasure nodes are the same as last internation and got power creeped.
Power creeping it you are saying to new players, don't bother trying to get to hard conquest unless you spend money to make large jumps to overcome the power creep.
Add the power creep with new tiers.

Then there is no reason to power creep an enemy team that was copy and pasted from last run, yet they did.
I have no issues designing a boss battle to require a specific team to use (might make it fun for the first run of 3}, however it should not be dependent on discs which are rng. They would also need more info provided, trial and error on a battle that costs a resource is not the way to do it. This can be done without power creep.
The treasure nodes also should also not be ramped up, as those are what should be used for finishing the grinds, meaning multiple different teams not a specific team to beat it.
There has always been ways to get feats done for new game characters added to the feats without having those characters maxed out and it should stay that way.
