- Once upon a time an update could affect you mid-battle.
Now it doesn't. Non-issue. - I am not shure of that. If you select your team and tap "battle" you still can get a message "client must be restarted" before the battle. It is not mid-battle but can be before-battle problem with the same result: 1 attempt gone.

No, the game checks before committing the characters. And when you're done, it sends the results before checking. They fixed these problems years ago. - Ok, so maybe it's just a bad memory or getting used to it on my part, but the fact is that I get nervous when the pop-up messages come in the GAC attack phase...again and again.
- KDC99-X2 years agoSeasoned AceI’ve lost an attempt on a forced update before. Only once, but within the past couple years. So no, it’s not “fixed”, at least not 100%.

Definitely before my time. You must be a very old player. "PeachyPeachSWGOH;c-2438878" wrote:

If only they could have a beta test group of players to test this stuff before they release it so they don't make things worse. If they aren't careful, they'll release a new ship or character that's got more bugs than a roach motel.
If only those players would stop leaking stuff they could have something like that.
Even after the beta test program went away there were leaks. Haven't been any recently, but maybe they've gotten a much more compartmentalized setup now? (Or they showed everyone at CG footage of the last person to leak stuff living in a cardboard box under a bridge after messing with the mouse's money?)
They also used to have a gamechanger program which had a small core few content creators that was going well until they started letting in way too many others and leaks began.
I guess they'd rather just be embarrassed endlessly for every release having bugs in it? If they tried, I'm pretty sure they could find 5 players/content creators to test stuff who wouldn't leak anything. - Isle23782 years agoRising Newcomer

Isn’t “once, but within the past couple years” the very definition of “Once upon a time”? - scuba752 years agoLegend

The beta program went away and then was brought back than the datacron leak, then went away again.
I absolutely agree a small group of 5 players (sorry no content creators) could do good and not have leaks, I have it on good authority there was a group like this and that group never leaked anything. There is another problem there though (at least the way I understand it was run previously) there would really not be time to do both bug and balance testing with doing this in a players free time.
Content creators should be its own thing, which they had before, poorly I might add. There was way too many before.
Than there is the question if the content creators is just spewing what cg wants them to? Spinning, click baiting things like CG wants?
