That's 3 1/2 minutes more than Boba Fett was on screen in the OG Star Wars and he ended up getting his own show.... lol

It’s entirely possible for others to complain about a thing without being “outraged” by the thing.

I think it's safe to presume that CG got approval from the necessary teams managing the IP. If CG got approval from the teams managing the IP, then the story behind the character is to be accepted as cannon. If the story behind the character is to be accepted as cannon, then it's pointless to argue against the character being at the battle because you would be ignoring established lore and you'd be factually incorrect.

I believe any points questioning what the character could have contributed to the mission or why they were needed on the front lines have been thoroughly addressed.

Whether or not you guys can reconcile a new character is up to you, but it's really not that hard.

It’s a problem because it’s a problem. Inserting a fan fiction character into a galactic legend squad feels undeserved.

You know how CG made a point of saying “we don’t want you to have to break up your CLS squad for GL Leia”?

Know why? Because we like it when characters who are together in the story-telling are also together in their squads.

1. He is no "fan fic character" as he was published in an official Star Wars liscensed game. As far as we know he could even be canon now.
2.I think they stated they don't want to break up the CLS squad because it's a strong and popular squad. It's one of my favourite and I would be sad if I had to give it up as a counter to so many squads.

This will be my last comment because I'm guessing it's pointless to continue this any further. But it's much easier to look at a new character and think, "Neat", and walk away, instead of whatever it is you're doing.

My guy, please use your imagination. Maybe he carried the turret with his left arm? Absolutely insane to think about, I know, but it could be what happened. Or maybe the turret is one of many placed around a command center that he's stationed at? He looks pretty able to do the stuff his kit dictates that he does. He fires a weapon with his left hand and operates some devices. Seems pretty reasonable.

Maybe he has droids to carry things for him.

Wait no - there's no droids in Star Wars that carry things for people. What am I thinking? Whew... almost starting talking sense...
