"Catching up"

It'd be great & not unfair at all, if the game somehow allowed players to catch up to players that have been with swgoh since 2015-2016 & beyond. Like after completing Daily Quests 365 times, the game could let you Max out any 6 Squads minimum, otherwise it's just a video game that says, "Sorry you weren't with us since or near launch, we don't let people catch up."

  • As a relatively new player myself, I realize that I need to make efficient choices with my farming and currency (CUP says "hello"). I'm fine spending some cash to get into the game.

But if the designers were to roll out more small purchases of some older outdated characters, they would definitely have more sales, and it wouldn't break the game.

For instance, sell random $5 "grab bags" of 25 low level characters that are useful but nobody has time to farm. I'd be more inclined to spend more money on $5 packs than the $30 packs they offer

They wouldnt give out 25 characters for $5 maybe 25 shards lol.

But galactic kit for $5 is great. I've never bought one but they seem good

Galactic kit for $5? Is that still there? I haven't seen any purchases yet I could deem as being anywhere even close to generous

Can we please just once and for all dismiss this delusion that new players need to “catch up” to older players. They don’t compete against older players in squad or fleet arenas. In raids and tb they fight together with others in guilds and develop to gradually progress and eventually beat that content just like those older players had to do. In grand arenas they are pitted against players based on their strongest toons, so any “catching up” they would get help with would automatically pit them against stronger players anyway.

Therefore, there is no catching up to do, there is game content to gradually progress with as you develop your rosters. Just as it has been for everybody else in the past and will be for new players in the future (until they stop developing new content).

I dont disagree with what you are saying, but many complains would stop if players would be able to catch up,making devs easier job to create content for everyone, instead of this huge discrepancy across all boards.

A thought-worthy point. My suggestion for a massive reward after 365 days of Daily Quest completion would make the game more fun. It wouldn't completely catch you up to big GPs...and big GP's shouldn't complain if EA chooses to be generous to others. The veteran players had their fun in getting in early, enjoying the game much longer, AND lording their success over much weaker newbies for A FULL YEAR!!! Should earlier players dominate forever? No, of course not. If you treat your friends this way, you don't deserve them.

See but you are STILL ignoring that shards open when you start. Those veterans are struggling against each other and have been committed for a long time, therefore earning the new toons.

And yeah, the complaints would probably stop if new players could catch up. Because if that’s the case, all the whales have quit and there is no game left to play.
