I don't think you get what OP is saying here. It's not their choice for this game mode. They can't spend money to avoid spending time. And they can't spend money to unlock any sooner. The way CG chose to incentivize whaling on Conquest was to tie DC farming to it. Which means the bigger spenders have to spend even more time on Conquest than the rest of us.
CG could fix all of this with some QoL improvements to Conquest. But, as with most game modes, they make a few early tweaks and then let it rot on the vine.
