CG, could you look at your Zeta economy?

The idea of "catching up" should be about catching up to the level required to play newer content. It's not about "catching up" to day one players (nor should it be, IMO).

I honestly think the best solution isn't increasing the zetas so much as it is providing good, new toons that don't require zetas. Or that only require one. (This is assuming that a solution is needed at all.)

Compare this Canderous zeta:

Canderous gains Critical Damage Up for 2 turns when an enemy gains Taunt, or becomes Deathmarked or Marked

with GMY's Battle Mediation without the zeta -- it grants TenUP and ProtUP to Yoda, then grants all allies every buff Yoda has. The zeta changes the chance to gain TM (from 50% to 100%) and changes to total amount of TM gained from 35% to 35% + 10% per Jedi Ally AND adds Foresight to Yoda's buffs before they are spread.

Gaining a single buff based in part on enemy actions you can't control is never going to be as good as buffing your entire party, and the zeta on Yoda is simply much more effective than the zeta on Canderous.

I'm not saying that the Candy ability isn't valuable. But did it need to be a zeta? What possible game balance purpose would require that to be a zeta rather than an Omega?

As I always say when I comment on this thread, there may be reasons why CG believes it's necessary to keep the zeta economy as is, and I would be okay with that outcome. Based on my experience, I don't think the zeta economy is outrageous.

That said, a lot of people I talk to think the zeta economy is bad. If it needs to be changed, reducing the new zetas required over the course of a year is the same as granting many zeta mats over the course of a year. It's something to look in to.
