Nauros I hear ya, and agree that pretaunts take away from the game in a big way. However, that's the meta. How many top 10 teams aren't rocking shore or baze? Not a lot. You can't erase baze and ShT's existence, so backtracking is impossible. So we're either stuck with those two tanks in 70-90% of top 10 teams, or we add more to expand synergies to different teams.
It's sad that standard manual-proc tanks are obseolete, as it causes a lot of toons to be useless. GK and RG are somewhat useful as replacements due to auto-taunt feature. (And didn't that raise hell when RG started that??). Tank meta has evolved. Maybe next everyone replaces tank with fast dispellers and goes with 4 DPS toons.
