This isn’t a FTP vs PTP issue. It’s a resources issue. The demands on resources have never been higher, and many of the required pieces for higher level gear for the Bounty Hunter faction that previously required no where near this level of advancement are event/raid pieces which makes it hard for all. When there are so many squads to develop, people are left prioritizing. The longer you’re around, the easier it will be to develop a deep roster of most if not all factions/toons.
Really if there is any advantage, people who’ve been around longer would have it, because they’ve had more opportunities to collect the high end gear, and develop multiple factions over a longer timeframe. Time is after all the ultimate resource, and one that can’t be really bought.
The bar is extremely high for this event regardless of how anyone would rationalize it. Some players will get 7* Chewie. Most will not. I think CG would be wise to look at the metrics, and listen to player feedback. Many games have gone out of business focusing on metrics alone. But other than large, old-guard accounts, the rest of us are pretty much screwed, regardless of how much we contribute to the game (monetarily and otherwise).
Bottom line is I didn’t feel like CG adequately prepared the rank-and-file for this event, with time or information.
But congratulations to the folks who get to enjoy a 7* Chewie. You earned it.
