And, to clarify, @Alexone mentioned 2 hours and I was trying to say it would definitely be longer than 2 hours. The total process be 6 hours (and possibly longer) as there are things we have to wait for as we stage parts of the update out.

We will keep you posted on progress.

It could depend. For most games like Swtor a major update sometimes will start it early in case there are problems. It gives the devs time to make sure everything is working ok or extra time to fix any problems that will occur. I'm not saying that's what's happening here but early updates do happen.

It seems like there will be update after update for around 2 hours. If you could post here the new it would be great. Share your thoughts and what you have noticed of the new Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes!

The devs are probably not at the office yet. The server guys.. some are always at the office.
The data is pushed through CDNs like Akamai, and it is more efficient (and likely cheaper) to stagger them.
And as predicted, the data mining is already underway. :)

Apparently patches will be cascading throughout the day, this was just the first one and I can't figure out what it did. Probably needs to be a sticky or announcement, bet one of the devs went over it in another thread.
