Coliseum issues at tier 4

Clearly this isn't an issue for everyone cause people do make it to tier 5. But I was talking to a couple people on discord and in my guild chat, and a lot of us came to the same census - once we're about to kill the boss, our characters do zero damage to give the boss a free turn and kill our entire squad, even if we're at full health and protection. It's always around 87% damage for me when my characters stop doing even 1% of damage until the boss takes a turn and wipes out my entire team. Is this an issue on a wider scale or is it just affecting the people in my circles?

The people I've talked with just say it's CG's way of making us pay to play the game - by making a threshold so we absolutely have to pay to get the materials to upgrade our characters 10-15 levels higher than the inflated bosses. But, like, jfc, what a way to tank the game.

For reference, my characters are level 46-49. Boss is level 40

  • The trick is to keep ALL your era toons at the same level.  If they were all 48 you'd clear that boss and be at 50-53 right now.  It sounds dumb, but I figured this out once IG-90 came out.  And yes, a lot of players have tracked the 1 point damage after a certain point.   You also need to make sure you read the kits for each boss, for instance, if the Roid-Cats are not within 10% health of each other they stack a buff on each other and creatine your team.  If you ever played WoW, you'd recognize this boss as Romulo and Juliet from the Opera House in Karazhan.  best of luck

    had this happen to me today with the chicken walker. got it to 97% then did 3 attacks and it was still at 97%.
    i will completely agree with the people that you have talked to.CG believes they are smart and sneaky, they keep pushing these pay to win tactics that are half way covered up. its just a bad business method (sure they'll make $$$ short term, but whales will leave and the game will die)

    They don't even need the scaling defence for the AT-ST. It doesn't matter how much damage I can do when it takes 6 turns in a row.

  • Yep, totally this. 

    Last time facing the guardians, got 95%, probably with level 43,42ish.

    I have luke 45, rest 44. I have gotten 92, 83 and 80%. Nonsensical to say the least, that with a better team to do that much worse, even with RNG.

  • If you can try and keep the levels of boss life all the same ( I know this can be impossible and then strike and kill 2 at same time). They will enrage if you kill one so I try and hold it off ( i only did this once as it is totally Pita and id rather auto for less  than deal with frustration) Also my lead is IG i switched out from luke that seemed to help to do more damage.

    Totally agree about using IG90 lead - once he triggers payout you're dealing bonus damage every turn. 

    I have found STL lead better when you first reach a tier, but when you're recording scores north of 80%, IG90 lead seems to help you get over the line.
