Collusion Arena and you: how to shake up your top ten
**EDIT**
Something I should have pointed out in the original posting, NOT ALL ARENA SHARDS ARE LIKE WHAT IM DESCRIBING. This post was created in the response solely to those stuck in a colluding, locking out, backstabbing shard. I see a lot of those posts and this is directed at people on problem shards. If you have a great cooperative Line group and share payout times, GREAT! That's what we need IN GAME. To be able to chat in arena brackets. This post doesn't pertain to your situation as long as you aren't locking people out on the orders of your Line boss **END EDIT**
Seeing more and more topics about "Collusion Arena" I'm here to give everyone my take and tips on breaking it up. First, what is this collusion everyone is talking about? It's the top 10-20 players on your arena shard that have joined Discord or Line. But they're just sharing payout times so they can coordinate and not waste crystals fighting right? Originally, yes. But now it's grown quite beyond that. I realize this post won't be very popular with a lot of the members here because it involves real world currency. Sure it's only a couple hundred crystals but over time that can equal quite a bit and people are known to partake in pretty vile acts for very little money. But this topic needs to be addressed and the problem brought to light.
What you have are tiers of players. There's the Bosses, two to three whales that always use the newest 7* characters with the best mods money can buy. They can easily hold the top 5 but can still be defeated, if only momentarily bumped down a few ranks.
Next up are the Fillers. A handful of individuals that have a decent roster that sit in the top 5-15. They shuffle back and forth for rank but you never seen them in the top 4 spots even tho they could sub a few characters from their rosters to make more powerful teams.
Lastly are the Underlings. These populate the 15-20 spots. With teams you can defeat 98% of the time on offense but can take their place back from you one 1 of every 3 attempts.
All three of these ranks talk to each other on a messaging app. The bosses will try and maintain their top ranks for sale of stature only allowing fillers to battle them for their payouts when it's their alloted time. They'll promise #8 a spot in the top 3 one day and #5 a spot the next. Everyone knows not to snipe him because it's his turn for payout.
What if someone doesn't agree and battles? This is where the underlings start coming in. They'll sacrifice their crystals to battle the outsider and keep him away from the top 10 spots by locking him down and wasting their attempts just swapping places. They've been promised a spot at the top of payouts "eventually" and will do just about anything to please the bosses, knowing the 350 crystals they blew to keep that outsider occupied will be made up to them "someday". Unfortunately there's suckers born every minute and they'll be stuck there for a while (cont)
