Life isn't like Air Bud. Sure, there's "no rule" saying a dog can't play quarterback, but that's because we shouldn't need one.
Okay, so because someone else can afford to burn 500 crystals a day to snipe other players, we should just give up? How is that in the spirit of the game.
If arena was only for bragging rights, sure keep it ruthless. However, we are able to get a prize with an actual cash value. This makes it a matter of players working together to maximize the benefits in a game with insanely inflated prices.
Mind you I'm not saying we shouldn't pay, or that everything should be free or that whales shouldn't have an advantage, just that the artificially enforced scarcity of things like gear and mods with good secondaries makes some things like gold mods from the store and full pieces of gear cost way more than it reasonably should.
