I edited the original post to clarify, not all arena shards have this problem. Not do all Line arena groups collude, lock out, and have the e-peen problems that you see in many of the replies to this. If you're part of an honorable line group that only shares info about payouts and actually abides by them, AWESOME. You've found a great shard! But this topic was written as a response to the multiple posts complaining about colluding arena shards. Some people don't know what's going on behind the scenes or how CERTAIN shards work.
This topic was meant as a wake-up call to some and to put others on notice. Should you join an arena line chat? That's up to you. If you find out there's bosses, underlings, and collusion, get the heck out of there and fight. Don't become one of them. If everyone is friendly and just trades payout times, great!
The easiest way to know if you're on a friendly shard or not is to look at who stays in the top 3 and for how long. Is it the same guy who always jumps back to #1 at the end of every hour? You know you have a boss on your hands. Do the same 3-5 people always stay in their place from 6pm-midnight, even while there's other teams exactly like them in the top 20? You have a structured collusion. A good arena shard will cycle every hour. You should never see the same 3 people at the top all day at every hour. That's just them stroking themselves at being #1 for everyone to see.
