So who’s going to do hard mode this time? And what’s your GP? I’m doing it with a flat 4 mil, and I think I’ll get smacked. But it will be interesting to see how the difficulty is.

5.5 with JML on the way to SLKR. I think it will be challenging, but I do anticipate earning the 1st crate.

I think anyone who qualifies and got max rewards from normal should give it a try. Getting the first crate in 2 weeks should be absolutely doable. It's also free/extra so there is not much loss.

The data disks were numerous upon reaching sector 4 & 5 and could be a big part of the success for many players in the normal mode. Without these disks some of the players could struggle quite a bit even though they reached max crate in Normal. I don’t want anyone to come back and say, “I tried hard and it is ridiculous and I cannot even earn a crate. Thanks a lot Kyno!” No one knows yet what the tuning will be for the event so it could be a difficult choice for some. That said, I do believe GL owners “should” be fine to try hard. For those on the fence between Normal & Hard: with 2 weeks to compete in it, maybe wait just a bit (maybe a day) before deciding which mode you want to try. Ask your guildmates, check out some videos from other players etc. I offer this advice because I want the player base to maximize the rewards earned. While this event may be “free,” falling behind on rewards will still be detrimental for you in the long run and your enjoyment of the game will go down from such “failure.”

With 3.5m you cannot enter hard mode, you need 4m minimum.

I see that you can’t just go straight through a sector to get max points. 14 battles but need 20 wins for a feat. Come on CG.

I intend to blitz as far as I can and then go back and worry about feats either once I'm done, or when I've plateaued.

Same. There's about a 25 ticket cushion, so I'll skip as many of the "No counter when one is needed" feats as possible and see where I can fall short

The feats requiring you to grind out more battles than there are nodes are not enjoyable.

It was clever in normal mode to make me think about using Lightside versus Darkside, to decide what Jedi team might work in a battle meant for a different team or even if I could do certain battles without a tank. Because of the overlap and the fact I could do them all if I was very efficient, I tried to think about what I was doing. I had to go back at the end and do a few extra battles, but I knew that was just because I had to make compromises along the way.

In hard mode I’m being told from the beginning that my choices don’t really matter. I’ll be grinding out extra battles (most likely on auto at the end). I’ll do them, but, instead of an enjoyable affair of cleaning up my inefficiencies, I’m just doing busy work because someone thought a bigger number was an improved challenge.

In this case the balance for the feats was correct in normal mode. The increased challenge to the feats in hard mode comes from the increased challenge in the battles. A bigger number doesn’t add to that, it just reduces enjoyment by adding grind.

I'm into Sector 3. One refresh - It's harder for my roster, but I expected that. No complaints other than what I had issues with before: Counter for boss feats would be most helpful and knowing the stats of the toons I am facing (especially speed).

It's fun and I'm enjoying it overall.

4.7mil GP with one GL (SEE), I got the max crate on normal and so far I have the first hard crate and should be able to get the second one at least. I'm doing what I did on normal, just get as far as I can and then worry about feats.

Pretty much where I am. I like this mode a lot.
Strikes me as there's something in it for all players wherever they are in terms of GP / roster build.
This is a very welcome addition to the game.
