EA/Capital Games make their money in US dollars. It is absurd to suggest that if your currency goes down they should just eat the loss for you. Not to mention that if crystals are cheaper in one country than others cheaters will find ways to spoof the system to buy crystals cheaper.

I'm not a big fan of how this game has been developed, some of the things that have been done have been unethical or even fraudulent, but this is a perfectly reasonable and justifiable move.
