Current special drop Pirates event.

So, did I miss some fine prints?! I have the selected characters at R3 (but only 5 stars) and I get no special drops? Kind of misleading when the event announcement made no mention of this.    Edit...

First time experiencing bonus drops in SWGOH?  CG often puts special requirements on bonus drops.  Especially when it's to unlock a GL or other special character.
