Darth Bane character idea

Darth Bane - Sith/Tank

Leader: The Rule of Two
At the start of the encounter Darth Bane gains a non-dispellable buff MASTER, and one random sith ally gains a non-dispellable buff APPRENTICE.

The MASTER buff grants %50 offense, %10 health and %10 protection.

The APPRENTICE buff gives %5 speed and critical chance, and stacks up to 10 times. Whenever the APPRENTICE uses a basic attack, special ability, or is called for an assist, gain 1 additional stack.

If the APPRENTICE is killed while Darth Bane is alive, another random sith ally gains 1 stack of APPRENTICE. If Darth Bane is killed, all APPRENTICE buff stacks are dispelled, and replaced with the MASTER buff.

Basic: Dark side assault
Deal physical damage to a target and inflict two damage over time effects. Call an ally with the APPRENTICE buff for an assist.

Special 1: Orbalisk Armor
Gain taunt, retribution, and defense up for 2 turns. Allied with the APPRENTICE buff gain %25 turn meter.

Special 2: Dark Tutilage
Deal physical damage to a target. Allies with the APPRENTICE buff are called for an assist, deal %50 more damage and gain %25 turn meter.

Thoughts?

  • This might just be me...but it sounds really OP. I'm no expert though, and I love the master/apprentice thing. It would be so cool to have that kind of thing added into the game. Definitely would be unique.
  • I totally agree with you @Vertigo322

The "training up" of the apprentice through the buff stacks and how the apprentice becomes the master when Bane dies is the selling point for me. Seems like a blast to play, and also offers strategic choices for your opponents. Is the Master or Apprentice buff more dangerous? Do I kill the apprentice and reset the stacks, or kill Bane to eliminate the +speed from the apprentice buff altogether?

The numbers def need to be tweaked, but just getting the idea of this interaction out there so the devs and my fellow players see it and are inspired is my goal with this.

Would definently give the sith a unique identity in the game, something they lack atm.
  • @Super_Dealer Yes sir, that's the key. At the moment Sith is kinda meh. Dooku has his dodge and counters, Sid has his AOE, and Maul has his build up. But really they don't stand out. Something like this could make the a lot more useful as well as deadly. Props on the idea too, again its totally unique and I love how it makes sense lore wise (even if lore is bubkiss in this game I guess..)
