I don't think that an ability that kills both an ally and an enemy will be very useful. It just seems like a very nerfed** version of Nihilus's insta-kill ability. Plus insta-kill was supposed to be a mechanic that only Nihilus could have.

Misread his idea. This isn't a nerfed version of Nihilus's insta-kill, it is an extremely game-breaking and overpowered version of it.
