This event is still ridiculously difficult. I don't have any GLs but went in with a recommended non-GL team of R8 JKL, R9 GAS, R7 JKA, R7 Hoda, and R7 GBA all with 300+ speed yet I can't get more than Revan and 1 other toon down.
Proving grounds is meant to be a catch-up?!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how this group should be modded as my Google-Fu is weak and I can't seem to find any useful modding guides for this fight.
Get SEE than the event become remarkably less difficult.
Yes my response is somewhat flippant, but as good as Malgus is he one of many toons you need, your roster is in development. Events like the Malgus proving ground event are precisely why one builds up GL's and makes one feel like their time was well spent getting a GL or two or 8.
Make JKL as slow as possible. That way when JKA gets mad he’ll use Heroes Arise and the opposing team will drop to JKL’s speed (as low as 112) then your units moving at 300 will run circles around them. Do you have JKR for the mark or JCK for the instakill?
It's JKR every single time. I have just swapped all of the mods to those recommended by SWGOH.GG and will try again.
As for getting SEE I have deliberately chosen a path without any GLs. I need Malgus to unlock Leviathan and he is the last toon I need as everything else is already there.
JKL has a wide variety of uses and is usually not the lead for GAC and TW. Under JML or JKR, speed is good for JKL which is why speed primary is the most common arrow.
For this PVE event, the enemy speeds are super fast and JKL’s leadership will bring them down to his level whenever he takes a turn. If you take off as much speed as you can, JKL and the enemy will be at 112. If you use swgoh.gg recommended modding, JKL and the enemy will be much faster at 225.
I can beat 80-85% of the PG events with the SLKR team, many of which have Darth Malgus in the opposing squad (which SLKR can beat 2-3*. When going against Malgus in the specific Malgus shard event, it's impossible.
