Read again the post you linked, that was Darth Revan's return, not Malak. Malak return hasn't been disclosed anywhere yet.

Plan on him coming unannounced tomorrow. Farm your characters like your life depends on it. Thank whoever you want that it hasn't returned today. Repeat until you have characters completed. Then hope that he returns as soon as possible, and then complain in the forums everyday that he hasn't returned yet.

Malak came back last weekend for Father's Day without warning, and the event was only open for 4 hours. You didn't miss it did you?
