that'd be nice haha. maybe at like a 5% drop rate and during certain times it rises up to 40 or 50%. like when bonus zetas would come around. 

This would be awesome.   Nice way to encourage people to keep buying packs and also change the meta. 

No kidding. The number of zeta drops is about the same even though many new characters require more than one zeta. Will never get caught up really.  GAS will take me about 3 months to just zeta him. Its like we aren't making progress in the game which is why people quit.

Almost as if this is a resource management game...

As for GAS you're doing something wrong if you are at his level and it takes you so long, his Zetas should take a month at most.

Definitely need a new zeta source. 
per month: GAC 0-12 average of x6, assault battle(older only) x12, fleet challenge x24, fleet store x27, conquest x5

=84 zeta or 4.2 abilities per month or approximately 50 zeta per year

add maybe 6 more for bonus drops and you are at 56 zeta abilities per year

currently we have approximately 20 new marque characters a year each requiring 1-2 zeta abilities for around x30 zeta abilities, 4 conquest characters requiring 3 zeta abilities for x12 zeta abilities, 3 legendary characters requiring 3 zeta for x9 zeta abilities and 1 gl requiring x6 zeta abilities

for around x57 zeta abilities needed for new characters each year.

kind of hard to complete zeta on old characters with the new ones absorbing all zeta farmed. wasn’t this bad until the increase of new legendaries this year, the increase of marque characters(several more characters several less ships), and the increase of required zeta on the marque characters.
